And of course Apple tanks when Jobs leaves. It did it the first time, didn&#039;t it? I have an Amelio-era Mac, a Performa, and the product line back then was uberconfusing and an absolute shambles.</description>

		<description>The iPhone will have a version of OSX on it, which is open source, so Apple can say what they want (like they said Intel Macs would never support Windows and then three months later released Bootcamp), but the facts will speak for themselves.

They probably had to keep Cingular believing they won&#039;t support non-Apple apps because it might give some hacker a shot at the underlying GSM coding of the phone which could cost them real money. By not officially condoning it, they have less liability in that event.</description>
